Nothing recent, but nothing cosmetically has changed much. I got some brand new fiberglass bumpers that I need to get painted and put on (smooth without that rubber insert going down the middle. The motor is now a a 331 (DSS long block) with TFS Stage II heads/cam and a ported Cobra Intake. Kim Barr freshened it up, I dropped it in, Baron (DJ) tied up the last odds and ends because I'm a lazy ass. I've only put roughly 15-20 miles on it since. LOL

Sell the II, the CTS-V is tits. I'm not a fan of the Cobra II though, so that weighs heavily on my advice.

Ya, but it is one of only about 3 cars that I've truly liked. It has been more fun than my Z06 (and now it'll run right by it). I've got to get something big enough to be a "family car" but I can't justify two toys. I think I'll pull the trigger since I can have a comfortable DD, a "family car" (bleh) and a toy all wrapped up in one.

It's more about compromise and perception with the wife more than anything. Not a barg or anything, but I can go grab a V without being financially hurt.

I hear you. If it means that much to you though, any chance of convincing the wife to let you have both?

In my mind the CTS-V is a peppy family car, not a toy.

That's a single mind though, I don't have to answer to anyone.

I would have to tone down the daily if I kept it. A supercharged 6.2L is a little more than peppy, though. LOL It's what, 556hp factory?

A 600hp daily, is still a daily driver. Badass car, but not your "baby."

Keep your II if you like it. Even better if your family car is faster.

Again, that's my single mentality. Having to convince/live with a woman is something else.

Put a stock 302 in it, and maybe. My first car was a 4 cylinder '87 Mustang, I ragged the shit out of that car.

Yep, the best looking II I've ever seen. (Not that that's saying much, lolz!) Backhanded compliments FTW!

                          Mine was a 78 King Cobra with a stock 302/auto. Ran a whopping 16.46 @ Ennis. LOL

This might go a little quicker, but I think Trey will be OK with the Saab.

With a II, you take what you can.

I really do dig that car man, it'd be a shame to get rid of it, especially when you haven't even had time to really enjoy it yet.

It's not going anywhere unless I just find something I want more. I'm looking for 370ish to the wheels on this motor and maybe... MAYBE a T-Trim after that. That stud girdle and DSS set-up will handle it. I might have to invest in T-5's, though.
