Funny Story

My my how the ways of life has changed! I have a large garden and this year I planted enough cukes to do pickles. Several different ways too.

I gave several jars to a good friend of mine to take home. He called yesterday to tell me of the problems his 22 and 17 yo daughters had opening the pickles!!
The oldest could not get the ring off so she gave it to the younger sister to open. She finally got the ring off only to find they had "broken" the "lid"!!
The friend was rolling on the floor as the mother showed how to "pop" the lid off!

Soon no one will know what a butter churner is or a can opener!

Well, 17 is a little young, but I could make do. Hopefully they also don't know about chocolate syrup coming in tin cans or vanilla coming in glass bottles.

To be honest though, that's the first I've ever heard of cucumbers as cukes lol.
