  • I've never been tempted to "brick" somebody on ebay before...

but I've got a real piece of work on this deal...

I bought something pretty damn cheap. It was misrepresented. I told the guy how much it was going to cost to get it up to the condition he stated it was in.

He was like "ok, send it back and I'll refund you minus $10 for shipping"

I told him that I felt that he should not only give me a full refund, but also pay for return shipping as he misrepresented the item.

He then told me it was insured and that I should contact the USPS! LOL I told him only the shipper could do that. He simply said "well send it back then"

So I opened a case on him.

Honestly, if the guy would have just been cool and been like "man, I'm really sorry, I'll give you a full refund, how can we make this right?" I would have just said fuck it, left him positive feedback and fixed the item at my cost. But the guy wants to be an asshole and insult my integrity and intelligence. So fuck him, he's got a case opened now.

He still insists that the item wasn't misrepresented and to ship it back and once he inspects it, he'll give me a refund. uhh... I don't think you quite understand how this works, buddy. This isn't Ebay circa 2001! LOL

I'm going to leave the case open for 30 days if he wants to be an asshole, but I seriously thought for a moment about bricking him! LOL But I can't do that. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Don't stoop, bro. Let the case run its course then recoup as much as you can out of it. I know it sucks, though.

That is a shitty way to handle things on his part, but really, how much can it really cost to fix that fleshlight?

yeah because the story so far really doesnt sound like the seller's doing much wrong. Other then not wanting to refund shipping.

he misrepresented the item!!! stated that there was nothing wrong with it. It needs to be sent to the manufacturer for a $100 reflash and it has a broken piece on it.

that's not "nothing at all wrong" in my book.

I honestly think the dude got pissed that it sold so cheap and left the thing loaded to his truck and possibly swapped out a connector for one with a broken switch hoping I'd return it.

he's got 100% feedback but it's all for taxidermy shit from years ago. he has no idea about this thing, it's not what he does

nah, I wouldn't ever do that... I had just never even considered it until dealing with this asshole. I'm honestly not going to be out any money. Which is why I said that if he had just been cool and offered me a refund up front, I would have just let it be and left him 100% positive feedback.

but his attitude just doesn't deserve that... in fact, I feel it deserves tying his money up for a minute or two with an open ebay case

I had a buyer do that to me. I offered to refund him minus the shipping. It was a shifter boot. I gave part #s, links to manufacturers website, etc. His claim was that it did not fit.

He would not send it back because he claimed he threw it away.

He opened a case on me. I had emails showing I offered him a refund. I sent these to ebay and called them. Ebay sided with me (the seller) and canceled the case and he got nothing. They also blocked him from leaving me feedback.

Open a case with paypal, escalate it to a claim, they will take the funds from him. Even if he has a zero balance. They will just make his account overdrawn by that amount.

That is one thing I hate about paypal. Can really fuck someones finances up depending on how much the claim is for.

                              I've had good luck lately.

I purchased a locked tuner and emailed the guy selling it. He said it didn't have a clue about it, asked if it could be unlocked, and I told him it could be for $100. I paid $125 for it. He sent me $100.
