I wouldn't have a problem coming up with it because I'm a baller. Seriously, thanks to wife who's a saving machine the money is available. I know a lot of people that live from check to check and can't come up with it.

Yep, I immediately double my investment every paycheck. Actually do better than that since the company puts in 2.5% in addition to their matching wether you contribute or not.

Same here, but a little more based on seniority. Does yours go up in time as well?

I usually keep 3-4k in the safe just in case I find a good deal on something I either want or think I can resale for a profit.

I would be a complete nervous wreck if I lived pay check to pay check, I really don't understand how people do it. Especially people who make decent money and have absolutely no reason they should be living that way. We have guys that work for us making 70k+ and still live like that and have nothing to show for it lol.

You mean to tell me they don't do that anymore?

Wow! Sounds like good benefits. I'm maxed out $1.00:$0.50 until 6%.

I would struggle to come up with 10 $100 bills simply because ATM withdrawls are limited to $xxx every day and I use a bank (USAA) that doesn't have local branches.

With that said, I'm struggling to think of a situation where I would immediately need $1000 in cash. Other than perhaps bail money, everything I can think of would accept a credit or debit card.

Depends on the timing. Sometimes I've got it, sometimes I don't. I spend almost all that I make, one way or another. Because of this, my ol' lady is able to save a lot, so in a time of need, we have plenty set aside. Works out well.
