Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I was active Air Force for 3 years and then switched to Air Force Reserves for three years. It was a huge adjustment. This biggest thing that irked me was it took a lot longer to get anything done in Reserves.
For example, average turn around on a travel voucher was 2 weeks when on active, my last travel voucher from the reserves took 8 months. Eight months and they "lost" it alot. I submitted it seriously 3 times a month. My ex still has not been paid for one from 2 years ago. She gave up.
Not everything is that different, but that is the thing about the Reserves that stands out.
After three years I made the switch to the National Guard and have never looked back. The fact the Guard was sending me to OCS was the ultimate deciding factor in making another change.

i dont't know about the marines but in the air force they have a tendency to micromanage a lot. i don't know if it is true air force wide but that is what i learned from my experience.

Air Force recruiters dont have alot of knowledge about the Marines way of doin business, when you talk to one they will most likely act like they know it all. Dont take it personal, its what they were taught to do in recruiting school.ازدهار رأسه برعشيت

Hell, I remember hanging out at an AF base in Korea waiting for a flight and listening to the junior enlisted call their NCO "Bob" to his face and he had facial hair. Unless he was the only white guy in the military with a shaving profile, that would not fly in the Army at the time.

Did 5 years Active, been stateside and overseas... then I Palace Chased into the ANG. I would do ANG over reserves, and carswell is right there. Hit me up w/ a PM if you want my opinion. I had a successful career and feel I could provide some good/honest advice. Not sure what kind of troops these other guys were, maybe they were studs too!
