Tons of F250's, Dodge Ram trucks, & Caravans have the third brake light out. I don't know if anyone would notice if you removed yours.

as long as you don't give a cop a reason, or piss off your state inspector, you shouldn't have a problem. But remember if they want to mess with you, you just gave them a way in.

I don't think it is required for a state inspection, is it?

No, it's not. There's a lot of things that conflict with state inspection and state law. Pretty stupid.

Hey Osiris... on my '45 Willys MB I didn't have turn signals, windshield wipers, or seatbelts... since it wasn't original equipment, would it be exempt?

OH OH, and also.. can I drive my jeep around with the windshield down if my registration/inspection tags are visible still?

Where does that talk about the third brake light or High Mounted Stop Light? I just see a mention of a broken left taillight.

it's original safety equipment. If it came with your car, and it's safety equipment, you can't remove it.

Why not just get antique tags for it and not worry about registration or inspection.
