my car is registered in a different county. i want to change it to my house in carrollton. the registration is expired, can i just go in with my insurance card, change the address, and walk out with a reg. sticker?

I did this a few years ago and didn't need to show a title, although my registration wasn't expired when I did so.Comment

In some cases it will need to be inspected in the county you are registering it in. Especially if the previous county isn't a smog county.Comment

ok, perhaps i will run by the tax office on lunch and see what they can do. i had the car "inspected" and it passed with flying colors!
