i grew up not wearing socks, i always took them off. and as a kid i refused to wear shoes. even to this day i drive around in flip flops or barefooted till i get to wear i need to go and put shoes on. i don't see what the big deal is

It's not even common sense. Babies have underdeveloped circulatory systems, so the temperature of their hands and feet are not an indication of their core body temp.

I promise you they will be gross. Thats why you wear sock or house shoes.

Yes if the babys feet are cold cover them up. This baby stage will be gone before you know it.
