I've had a Westinghouse LCD in the bedroom for five years with no issues. It was cheap when I got it compared to everything else, so I knew what I could be in for. Still works great.

I would be willing to take a gamble for the price. Especially with Best Buy's new trade in policy and with an extended warranty.

I bought a Westy on Black Friday at Target a few years ago. It was a 32" LCD, and it worked great as a TV in the kid's room and then as a computer monitor. Now it's in the guest room and still working fine. Granted it doesn't look as good as my Aquos, but it's still just fine for an extra TV.

I think this is what those t.v.'s are intended for. I don't think I would count on a large higher priced version as my main tv, but for a bedroom, exercise room type tv, it would be just fine.

actually bought one of these for a "scratch and dent" for 699 WITH the 4 year geek squad BS... Works great in our bedroom.
