No big deal. Took all of ten minutes on a friday morning and the pain was minimal. Back to 100% in a few days, but felt alright the entire weekend. Make sure to jack off in the cup 5-6 weeks later to make sure you're shooting blanks.

It is to bad my guy retired. He was ex military and I asked him why he wasnt trying to talk me out of it since I had no kids. Without batting a eye he said "It is truly a shame more people do not make the right choices in life" We then went on to talk about overpopulation and welfare. LOL Guy said he use to piss the higher ups off in the military because guys in thier twenties would come to him and he would snip them.

Had mine done just this year. Having it done was a little nerve racking but not really a big deal, they will give oyu a valium to calm your nerves if you want it....I'd suggest it. The recovery is all about not doing too much in the first ~5-days, tight underwear, and frozen peas. I was much better at around 5-days, but still noticed hints of pain up to about the 2-week mark.

Really not trying to be a smart ass, but you aren't old enough to make that decision for yourself yet at 22...I know you think you are, as did I when I was around that age thinking the same way. Trust me....your mind will change some as you get older and realize just how short life is. If you still feel that way around 30 then have it done....meanwhile keep stock in plenty of rubbers.

The age thing I can understand. What I don't understand, is that when you're married, they wanted a signed waiver from your wife. Even if you already have kids, your wife has to ok it. What the fuck? Last I checked, I wear the goddamn pants around here.

I appreciate your opinion, but I could always get a reversal

Not guaranteed to work, and that's why they won't let you make that kind of decision at 22. Like I said, I understand the age thing. I don't fully agree with it, but I understand it. I think if you're old enough to drink, enlist, etc, then you're old enough to make that decision. Docs don't want to do it for the fear that someone will come back and sue.

22 is too young to make that decision, that is just my opinion. But at least you don't have to worry about an accident.

Yup...as part of the consult they told me that reversal success is actually only around 50%. I understand the age thing too...b/c I did feel the same way when I was late teens early 20's....I can remember saying there'd be no way I'd have any kids, but I'll be the first to eat crow and admit that those feelings changed after I settled down, got into a stable career, and my feelings about life in-general started to change.

That being said...even though it's for your own good, it is sort of BS that you are considered adult enough in life by that age to do just about everything else (including fighting for your country), but yet you aren't considered mature enough to make this deicision.....yet they are more than happy to sell an 18-yr old girl a pair of breast implants.

So once the healing is done... are there any noticebale differences? I mean obviously you are shooting blanks... but everything else is the same correct and you are still shooting right? In my family all the women just had their tubes tied right after having their last child.
