Why were you doing a tune on a daily driver when you're flat broke? The last thing in the world you need to do is fuck up your only car trying to hot rod it.
I have no idea what spark advance and a/f ratio look like on my Dodge and I don't care either...When the government pays, the government controls.

Was not a performance tune, no rev limits raised, no shift points changed, no timing adjustment. Only fuel enrichment to help the motor.
Was just bad timing.... no pun intended.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Because from doing research I have found some people having troubles with knock retard with these constant 104*+ days and too much knock retard can chip pistons before the computer can react. We were simply adding more fuel to eliminate that threat.

You are right, what I should have said is the more knock the more it ruduces timing. My bad for reversing that. Car only ever sees 16* total timing so reducing timing to reduce the KR function would make the car a dog and fall flat on its face. Just adding a little more fuel up top helps reduce the detonation so the knock sensors dont have to come into play.Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I think what they did was tune the car based on knock retard timing events and wideband. They failed to do the most important step, which is to check the spark plugs. However, what he's saying is the knock sensors were pulling too much timing. And they tried to tune it to where they would be less active, thus indicating that there was less indication of detonation. It's just a really backwards way to say not enough fuel or timing retard was the cause of the problem. He's looking at as the knock sensors where pulling a lot of timing (his word: too much) and that was indicating moderate to severe detonation. They tried to add fuel to compensate, but it didn't pan out.
He's got the right idea, but his is the dyslexic version.

Well I am back on with Kyle. Now I just gotta figure out when and how to get back up there and make it run then drive it back. Hopefully my buddy in Waco has a slow day where he can get off early and drive me up.
Then starts the fun. I hope to get both of the cars noses in the carport together and drop the entire subframe with the drivetrain and steering still attached and just swap them under the cars.
