I got the elderly man out and went in for his wife who was looking for things to grab. I told her it was time for her to get out and pushed her out the front of the house as FD arrived. I suffered a bit of smoke inhalation, but didn't require medical attention.

This. I like to think 15 minutes "early" is on time. My parents are late for everything, and it pisses me off to no end.
