  • Am I the only one that takes being on time seriously?

I just have this thing for people being late... really gets on my nerves. I always try my best to be on time wherever I'm going. It just seems like I'm in the overwhelming minority out there. Wondering if anyone else is a stickler like me.

The reason I'm asking is a friend of mine (1 hour previous to the meeting time) tells me to meet him at his place at 7:30pm - I show up at 7:30 - he's not there. I call him to ask him where he is. He says "I'm running a little late man, I'll be there in an hour." You have got to be kidding me. This shit happens to me all the time.

I try and be punctual at all times. Sometimes tardiness is unavoidable, but most times I am early or right on time to any scheduled event.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I'm tolerable a few minutes (give or take) because I know shit happens sometimes, but if it is something of importance, it better come with a promt appearance or priority goes away.

I'm usually early, unless it's a party. Even then I have to make myself show up late.

I am always on time and I hate it when other people aren't.

I'm about 3 minutes late to work 2-3 times per week, and 10 minutes late about once every 3-4 weeks. Been that way all my life. Never an hour, though, and I'd never leave a friend hanging that long without calling ahead and explaining.

That's right. Another thing... if I say I'm going to be there - I'm going to fucking be there (unless it's Yale's welcome back party, then I'm going to totally blow that shit off).

Nothing I hate more is when me and a friend make a plan - for instance, let's meet up for lunch at 1pm thursday at xxx. Then, thursday comes around, I'm there at 1pm, I call my friend and they say "Oh, I didn't know we were still doing that." What the fuck!? Did I say otherwise?!

this shit irks me to no end

seems like almost everyone these days are never on time, most are 10-20 minutes off time. out of all of my closest friends i'd say maybe 2 will be there at the time they say they will

Yeah, I rage about it probably 2-3 times a month.
