I wouldn't go back in enlisted. After getting my degree I might. I'm done with the Corps though. I had to starve myself for weigh ins since the standards have changed. I'm 250lbs and the limits for my height is 218lbs. I've got a small neck so that screws me on weigh ins. Seems you can't lift weights anymore, they want marathon runners.

this almost describes my last year in to a T. they measured me at 73" tall, which put my max weight at 209. i weighed 240 my last year in, and they made my life hell...

i was the most proficient Marine in my shop as far as MOS, but the ones that got promoted were the skinny mexican kids that could run a 17 minute pft and do 25 pull ups. nevermind the fact that they would have gotten any of us killed in combat due to stupidity...

i feel your pain on not wanting to go back in. trust me.

i certainly agree with getting full time into school. do it before you rack up a bunch of debt. live as skimpy as you can and use that gi bill. trust me on this. i am in a spot now where i want to go back to school but i have so many bills that i have to work full time.

Yep. Was medically discharged, hit by a semi, kicked out of my house, divorced and living in a travel trailer with no power or water in the middle of a cow pasture running fence lines for groceries while hearing voices and seeing the walls bleed.

Being out sucks. things just don't have as much meaning.

Just giving you a hard time. A lot of my buddies are having a hard time with it too, you just have to get involved in something quick to occupy your time. As soon as I got out in may I started school going the firefighter route. You should look into that

You guys are the biggest assholes at times but I see through that and I'm glad I've stuck around this site so long!

I'm going to school for GIS, I worked around Topo Marines (Recon now has a GIS guy for high-speed maps) and they got me very interested in the field SO at least I've got a career path.

As for the women part... She just dropped off my clothes... Didn't even have the dignity to knock on the door. Sad...But that's apart of life.

I was 240 at 11%BFI the new height/weight standards are SO fucked up. At 240 I could still run three miles in 18:20 and I've always done 20+ pull ups. I have a 16in neck and a 34in waist... That's what screws me. According to a professional tapping I was 11%BFI but the Corps put me around 19%BFI, one more over then the allowed of 18%BFI. 19% of 240lbs is 45lbs and in no way did I have 45lbs of fat on me. I don't have ripped abs but you can see them. I'd have some fat admin GySgt tape me and even though he hadn't seen his dick in forever his brain washed mentality would force him into telling me I was fat. With a 296 PFT score and a 34in waist, I was fat... *rolls eyes*
