Ok, that other thread about the Ferrari vs Viper GTS thread got me wondering about what others would buy. The responses were so varied it made me wonder about a more general question.


So, if you had $45,000 to spend on a fun, weekend cruiser/hobby car/hot rod/ toy or whatever you want to call it, what would you buy?

Depends on a few factors, but something quasi-exotic that's already suffered close to all it's depreciation if it's not on the way back up the curve already.

Or something I think I might be able to make a profit on like building a Factory 5 Shelby Daytona Coupe.

I don't think you can get a GT40 replica (well, at least a quality one) for $45k. I know the Superformance ones are still over $100k!
