if your'e a drinker, it's boring like you said, but getting up early and being productive is a nice reward... my problem is I'll go a few weeks doing good and then just get a hankering, and then I'm hitting it every night for a week or so...

January 5 will be one year for me. It was hard at first, but now it doesn't even cross my mind. And you never realize how much you spend on booze until you quit buying it. Now I just have to quit smoking....

I'm on like 7 or 8 years, I win. I did have some 40 year old whiskey 2 1/2 years ago, but only at my grandpa's funeral. My step-great grandma(his remarried wife's mom) always wanted to have it because he was saving it for so long. He said if she died first, he was drinking it. If he died first, she could have it, and he wanted everyone else at the remembrance to have some, too.

                Champagne doesn't count.

I don't consider having one glass or beer a drinking night.

Luckily I only smoke when I drink so that won't be a problem. I do dip though so that'll probably increase a little bit when the nicotine isn't being inhaled almost every night. I don't know how, but smoking never crosses my mind unless I've had a few drinks.

I don't plan on quitting drinking entirely, just lessening it a whole lot. Like I said, I'll probably drink New Years, but between now and then I shouldn't have a reason to drink. I just don't want to use the weekends, or "I don't have to work tomorrow," or that kinda bullshit as an excuse to go out and get hammered.

I've noticed in these 4 days of not drinking, my lungs actually feel a lot better, too.

Taliwhacker, not quitting, just trying to be responsible. There's a lot I need to accomplish over the next 2-4 years and regular drinking isn't gonna help me accomplish those things.

Jeromy, you're a bitch. Go take someones picture without them knowing you creepy mother fucker.

                      I can't fathom drinking.

I probably spend less than $50/year on alcohol.

I did the complete opposite, lots of friends in town for the holiday so it has been a week long drinking fest. Now its back to working out and minimal drinking till Christmas.
