I live 90% of the year in a plywood box 5'x7'. That is only 35sqft. The wood is so shitty and full of termites you have to cover your stuff because of the fine wood dust that falls out of the ceiling. I am lucky enough to have a decent shower and toilet in the building I work in.

Went from a 2100 square foot house to a 750 square foot apartment, and it is FANTASTIC. I could still stand to loose 100 square feet and 3 more pieces of furniture, and it wouldn't bother me at all. This works for now. Most of the "stuff" I own is media; books, dvds, CDs, etc. I could seriously downgrade my book collection, and probably will if I decide to downsize further, which is in the cards in the next few years. Just don't need much, and really never have.
