    Yeah when I had my really bad insomnia fit I almost broke down and went to see one. I researched and they said that Psychologist are the ones that don't push medicine, I would look there.

      I am pretty sure psychologists cannot write scripts, which is why they don't push meds.

      OP just be careful and don't let them try and put you on meds the first time they meet you, unless you haven't been sleeping and they want to help with that first.

            I would seriously suggest reading a book by Dr Leo Marvin called "Baby Steps". It totally changed my life.

                Could you just see a PCP and see what they have to say before shelling out $$ to sit on a comfy couch or have you gone that route already? My OBGYN writes me Celexa and my moodiness and anxiety have been controlled pretty well. Now, it's not gonna make *everything* all hunky dory and things are going to piss you off, but that is normal in life.

                  I don't know where you are located, but Dr. Quadri in Flower Mound by Grapevine Mills is a great Psychiatrist.
