FUCK NO IT'S NOT. That's is a HUGE pet-peeve for me. My kids will probably turn every light in their own house on one day in celebration for being away from my electricity-nazi ass.

I'm a lot more acclimated to warmer temps than I was even this time last year. Probably because I work my ass off outside everyday after work until sundown? 82 feels fucking GREAT after being in 110 degrees moving horses or plowing fields LOL

By choice? Good for you! I called my house and the bf is with the kids playing checkers in the family room. AC is on 82, all lights out except the one in the family room of course....and I won't do laundry or dishes until after dark.

I seriously doubt many people are sticking to do their part to help though.

My wife even hung clothes out side on hangers to dry. LOL She told me a minute ago she wants a clothes line for our sunroom. My house is at 82 but not by choice it is because my ac is having hell keeping up. Still I only had it at 78.
