        a megawatt can power about 200 homes in this weather with air conditioners running full blast, so my generators can run about 1800 homes

        *edit - ya it's a little bit more powerful than the onan for your house

              I work in Grapevine and yesterday the power flickered a couple of times but only a couple of seconds. I hope we dont have those though.

                Power production for a generator is based on the size (hp) engine driving it.

                9 megs out of 3 Cats... I would bet he's running three 3516 (69 liter) engines.

                            I think there's too much demand but that's just my guess as joe q. public

                            What really sucks is that no one is really going to cut back or conserve because most folks operate on the mentality of "My neighbor isn't going to, so why should I?"
