Ozzeran is bitching about a 'sound tube' on the new 5.0 GT's that is hooked up the the factory CAI, under acceleration you can hear the exhaust sound in the cabin, apperantly people with the stock 05-09's were bitching that the exhaust was too quiet in the cabin, so Ford designed a 'sound tube' that sends the exhaust sound into the cabin, I think its pretty cool, Ozzeran does not and I don't think he even owns one, lol!

I must be getting old. I'd love my car to have the rumble of 2 chambers but be quiet in the interior. lol

seems like you'd hear the sound of the engine, not the exhaust

No I'm just getting old, rather hear a chambered exhaust and not hear hardly shit in the cabin.

And I am still close to buying one, just making sure I can change things is all.

It's a bad habit, used to be great back in the day, now people can't read, talk shit and apparently have a ricer mentality, hence liking the sound in the cabin.

I hear ya, my Cobra is so loud that im thinking about putting cats back on it. Ive had two GT's (05&09) and both had plenty of sound for me, so I left them alone, the reason you cant hear them like in the past Mustangs is the later GT's have the mufflers in the back aft of the axle so its harder to hear the exhaust sound on the cabin, but Ive been at the track and heard the stock exhust on these cars and its loud enough for me and not worth paying upwards of $300.00 for a catback that gives no significant HP and only sound...

It's not Fords fault, talk to the goverment homer, so write your congressman or install a OR X-H and some Borla stingers on your turd.

Did you know you can buy a tube that runs down your pants and up to your ear for that?

From this thread, I have learned that this site is now dominated by old people.

Yeah, I've been there with the loud Mustang's too, and all the loud ones I see on the street are slow. Look at the vette, how quiet it is for the performance.

I really dig the new Mustang GT, but that sound tube threw me off, instead of putting on the back burner I looked at how easy it was to fix it, but made a thread about it stating an opinion. Performance per dollar this car has it and then some.

I also don't hear Flowmaster's on car's anymore, they are sounding raspier now a days with whatever they are using.
