September of this year? Gonna be a bit chilly in Europe!

Europe is next summer. September is this:

Fly in to Los Angeles Sept 10th. Go to Hertz Counter. Pick up a 2012 Mustang GT. Proceed up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. Tour various filming locations of Bullitt, cross Golden Gate, etc. Proceed to Reno, Nevada. Lose some money. Drive across Nevada on Route 50, also known as the Loneliest Road in America. Many

It was hot as hell all week, and nothing like the beaches in SoCal, but family time each day. I got off the plane in SD, and it was in the low 70's, with the blue ocean and sail boats to my right as I left the airport. I couldn't have felt farther from home, but the weather and scenery were great!

I think that one of the main reason's that I haven't pulled a "Yale" yet, and high-tailed it home, is that SoCal is so beautiful and temperate. Well, the huge bump in my paycheck helps too.

**clicks heels three times "there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home..."

It's currently 71* though, and I haven't ran AC this year for more than an hour total (closed the doors for con calls, due to the barking dogs next door), so I think I'll manage.
The kids and I used to spend Summers in San Diego, and later in Richland, WA, and it was always such torture to get off the plane in Texas, after being out there from late May to early August. I always felt like I was drowning when I got back to 100+ temps and full humidity.
It was pretty much the same way for me when we got back from Saint Thomas earlier this month.

Sweet. I was at the Hotel Uhland at Paul-Heyser Straße and Uhland Straße. Visited the Hofbräuhaus yet? I had 3 liters of beer and staggered home, it was excellent. I really liked the Augustiner Biergarten also - it's over at Arnulfstraße 52 by the train station.

Hit me up when y'all are headed to San Fran if it's on a weekend, or at least when 80 runs through Sacramento. That's just a few miles south down 5 of my new place, and I can offer a pitstop, if needed.

The only thing of interest on a trip like that would be Folsom Prison, if you're a Johnny Cash fan, but it's non-descript, and out of the way.

It will be fun going back for vacation, my boss and I joked that I'll see more of San Diego on vacation, than while living here. Sad, but true.

It's funny, when I got off the plane in hobby, the heat and humidity were a welcomed feeling. Well, until I started sweating.

I flew home for a funeral in June. My next trip back to Texas will be in September and I am counting the days like never before. Hopefully this will be my last trip home on vacation. My next flight back will be home for good.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Went to Phoenix for All Star Week. I really like that city/metro a lot, lots of nussies wandering around, great food and really easy to get around.
