If I knew how to fix the problem, I'd be an instructor going to every PD and implementing a training program. I'd also be driving a Ferrari and live in a $5.6mil house. The problem is that we are trying to mold an imperfect human being into a perfect robot. Human nature by nature is fallible. There is a book called the Bible that has a lot of great examples. I used to be a Field Training Officer and I used to think that if I had done the background on the people the academy was sending me to train, I would not have let 95% of them in.
You never know what a person is made of deep down inside.
Hell, I trained this guy and would have never thought he would have done this:

CRAIG MURRAH FORT WORTH -- A Fort Worth police officer was arrested Wednesday on allegations that he slapped the rear of a woman whom he had caught engaging in sexual conduct in a car in Oakhurst Park in June.
Officer Craig Murrah, who has been with the department since 2001, turned himself in to fugitive officers on a warrant for official oppression, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in a county jail and a $4,000 fine.
He was released after posting $1,000 bail.
Wes Ball, Murrah's attorney, did not return phone messages left at his Arlington office Wednesday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Police Department, the incident occurred about 1 a.m. June 22 after Murrah found a couple engaging in sexual conduct inside a vehicle at the park at 2300 Daisy Lane in north Fort Worth.
The officer directed the couple out of the car. The 18-year-old woman, nude from the waist down, was placed in the back of Murrah's patrol car, the release said. Sometime during the investigation, Murrah allegedly slapped the woman on the rear, the release said.
The woman said the officer let the couple go with only a warning.
The woman told her boyfriend what the officer had done, prompting him to call 911, the release said.
An internal investigation found sufficient evidence to support the woman's claims, and an arrest warrant was issued for the officer, the release said.
Murrah, 37, has been placed on restricted duty pending a review of the case by the Tarrant County district attorney's office. He could be suspended without pay if he is indicted.
