Post 11 seemed pretty straightforward to me. Considering the prior posts made by others and the usual behavior of 03....

Edit: For the record, I figure the po-po over did it. It would be real interesting to see the actual video to prove it to everyone.

That isn't necessarily defending, rather opening up the discussion to both sides. I wouldn't venture something like that on this issue since I think it's pretty clear what the outcome will be.

I'm sure they will be crushed under the wheels of our justice system and get 30 days suspension with pay.

If they acted like has been portrayed, I hope they go to prison. If the state justice system fails to accomplish justice, I hope the feds step in and hang them on FCR violations.

Stevo, do you know why the police were called? Do you know if he was involved in any altercation prior to their arrival?

Do you know what happened, other than some shitty, biased commentary?

              Were you there?

Stevo, I've seen people actively resist while screaming for help. They resist and try to make the police look guilty of wrongdoing. It's like when the police strike someone and yell "stop resisting". Sure, if you have a witness, they are going to say the cop hit the guy with his baton, but they are going to say the cop was yelling "stop resisting".

The thing about the commentary that bothers me, and will help any police attorney, is when they start talking about the incident in Las Vegas. The discussion gets lost to whether they are talking about the incident in LV, or the one in front of them. If I was an attorney for the police, I'd vehemently demand that the discussion was about the guy reliving the incident in LV, and not about what was going on at the time.

Meh, how else are we going to get 3-4 pages out of another FTP thread?

I know. I have been guilty of jumping in the devil's advocate role on several subjects, just for the sake of argument. Sometimes very successful too. haha

I for one would like to see the dash cam video from the very first moment the first Officer arrived until he was carted off before passing judgment. If what they did was wrong then by all means let them hang for it.

I think you're failing to see the level of force used on an unarmed bum. LMFAO!

I didn't make a single comment other than one on the picture I posted.

I guess should have made one on your tirade about young/inexperienced/undertrained officers being the bulk cause of these issues and the assumption that older/experienced/hull-trained cops never do this stuff, apparently....

But I won't, since the only thing that will happen after this thread hits 4-5 pages is you will break down after getting your ass handed to you time and time again, and then start claiming you only answer in these threads to piss off/push buttons/annoy people. It isn't worth wasting the energy in my fingers to type it.

a person can only protect (police force interest) and serve (speeding tickets)so much, sometimes you have to mix it up a little bit....

Matt, I see where you are coming from but I don't think this is one to argue. Period. I, as I am sure most know that I defend cops in most of these FTP threads. That doesn't make my opinion hold more weight but these officers should go to prison regardless.

I can see tazering someone, I can see giving someone a jab or elbow to help restrain him, but that picture doesn't portray that, at all. He had the living shit beat out of him and was tazed multiple times.

Here is an example based off of something that was recently posted. The pharmacist who protected the store by shooting the guy who was robbing him and the store. What made that guy guilty? The fact he defended the store, or the fact he went back and shot the guy a few more times?

I am sure the same would apply if someone broke into my house and I protected mine. Would there be ANY doubt there if I shot the guy once and called the police? What if I shot him 8 times?

The point I am making is that yeah, I see the point that force is needed at times but this guy wasn't hit or tazed just once. There is a line, yes it is gray and fuzzy sometimes but this line just turned a different color and went a mile passed it. They beat the living shit out of him. Literally...

I THINK if it was bad enough that I had to start videoing it because I thought someone else should see it.... then I would like to think that I would yell at the cops or something...
hopefully I never have to find out for sure

I have seen a lady whoopin up on her kid in the middle of a store (more then just discipline, more smacking him on the head and stuff.. it was bad enough that everyone was watching as they walked by but wouldn't say anything.) and I said something to her but she wasn't a cop either... so I don't honestly know how I would handle a situation with a cop doing the beating.
