    Energy Charge: 1.7¢ per kWh

Base Charge: $0 if monthly usage is 1000 kWh or more; for lower monthly usage, a $9.95/month charge is applied.

TDSP Pass Thru Charges: $6.15 per month and 2.7¢ per kWh. Passed through without markup.

Wise BuySM MonthlyGo month-to-month with a low price
Includes automatic payment and paperless billing
    Variable Price
    Month to Month
    No Cancellation Fee
    Electricity Facts Label (pdf)

A couple of years ago a few providers weren't charging this fee, but now they all seem to be. My base fee (if I use less than 500 kwh) is $5.95 on my current two-year contract with Brilliant Energy.

Matt, I tossed these options around a bit a few months ago ... Got some pointers and finally decided to do fixed. I got a 1yr fixed @ 7.8c per kW/hr.

I'd hate to see where this heat wave might drive variable rates, ugh.

Just keep in mind that is a variable rate, so your rate rises and falls with the market. Also, they are passing along your TDSP fees. They estimate it will equate to 2.7 cents per kWh consumed but that is only an estimate. Now, your TDSP fees should not be too bad on a house but mine range from $40 to $60 or so, depending on my usage.
