We had a party a while back and the people up the street invited a friend that we didn't know. A skinny brazilian chick with some fake tits. I was ok with it.

I agree with the OP. Unless it's strictly a beer drinking party or permission has been granted by the host before the invite is extended, you shouldn't invite other people to a party. Especially a kids bday party.

While I agree that the guest should not have invited another person without checking with you guys I would not care about one more person.
I certainly wouldn't be going out of my way to pick up said person. The only thing I may have done differently is to say "your friend is welcome to come, but I'm not a taxi. If she is at your place when I pick you up, then cool."
