Excuses are like assholes, they all smell like they have been getting fucked...

        From this I've gathered -
        - Don't meet him in a parking lot
        - If she has a family don't expect them to just fall by the wayside
        - Put my ego aside and don't rile up his emotions because that's only going to lead to more contact
        - Don't get mad when he asks how his dick tastes
Apparently you don't know how to read, then. I've given you REAL WORLD experience. I've told you what to do and how to handle. You either don't want to hear it, missed it, or are blind to it. I've said it myself, multiple times in this thread. It's on you now. How many fucking people posting in here are saying I'm right? Everything I've said is very relevant to the situation. You just dont want to hear it.

I completely believe that you feel what you just said to be true. I just find it highly suspect like others on here that her ex is still trying to communicate with her. Especially, after so much time has passed.

His situation may not be the same as yours though...so why would he take your advice verbatim?

I'm surprised you haven't posted up his number and just had DFWMustangs deal with him.

He doesn't have to take my advice. Just don't ignore it completely and say he is getting feedback that isn't relevant. Everything said in here is relevant. How is telling her to change her number, and letting her handle it not relevant to what he is asking?

Hell, don't take my advice. I'll be sure to laugh at him when he finally catches them fucking, or when she gets pissed and breaks it off because he got physical with the dude. I'm telling you now.... She's not being 100% truthful. He can think I'm full of shit all he wants. I'll be here to point it out that I was spot on, no worries.

Without reading the entire thread, if she doesn't text back, why is it an issue? He'll fade away quick enough. As has been said on page 1, block the number, unless she is wanting to keep him as a backup.

                    • Every time I've had a new girlfriend that still gets regular texts from the ex, there was a 50/50 chance she was still getting sex from the ex. The other half they turned out to be manipulative whores that just wanted to stir me up, and keep the other dude on the hook because they liked the attention. Good luck, OP! Keep your eyes open.

                      • BTW, my advice is from both sides of the situation.

I've been in the OP's shoes before, and I've also been the ex, texting drunk late at night.

In situations like the OP's the only one that has ever worked was changing the number or blocking the ex's number.

Every time I was the ex, and drunk texting, I eventually got what I wanted, either more booty, or the girl back. Persistence is key with women, as long as you don't overstep things like the law

Are you saying standing outside her window, beating your dick like it owed you back rent is going too far?

If she is no bullshit then she would have already resolved the issue without you having to ask for advice about it on DFWM. It isn't hard to get someone to stop contacting you that you don't want contacting you.

                              Only if you get caught.

I'm not a dick by any means and I just want to nip this in the butt and get it over with.

Changing her number would be tough because she is in the middle of applying and interviewing for teaching jobs and that number is the contact all of the schools have on file for her.
He's basically getting drunk and feeling regretful. If she ignores it entirely, it will eventually go away....unless she has to play nice because there is a kid involved, which can potentially lead him calling her phone to talk to you, and then, the next thing she knows, you two are hunting buddies.
