  • Booker's

been a while... figured I'd chase some holiday blues w/ a fine bottle of bourbon...

back when I used to pick this stuff up years ago, it was usually 125-126 proof... this barrel was 128.6 proof.

I should have been heir to a bourbon dynasty

I'm poor. I decided to drink my birthday blues away with a bottle of Crown cask 16..

Aftern half a bottle I'm still poor and now I'm depressed about being poor.

I will say they found a way to make up for the weak beer.
I'm not poor compared to many either, but I act like a broke dick.

Cheers to you as well sir.

acting like a broke dick is a good philosophy for not BEING a broke dick!

I just feel like a bum because so many of my friends are HIGHLY successful... I know more self-made millionaires than I care to list off, but I guess it's better to surround yourself with champs vs. bums

thankfully all of my friends are very down to earth and don't act like they're better than anyone just because they have money

I hear ya. I'm ahead of some and behind a few when annual salaries come into play, but most of them found a way without moving to OKC. Hard to say who the biggest loser is in that equation.

Fine drinking right there. I approve. However, with the new baby, I feel guilty as hell spending money on bourbon these days. I've been playing cheap ass and drinking Beam Black lately.

I've been laying off the liquor, but when I do, I buy cheap TX vodka... I decided to treat myself

Forrest, you are indeed a gentleman and scholar.

Thank you for turning me on to this wonderful elixir. I now have a new cabinet favorite.

This true barrel bourbon should be served neat for anyone interested in trying it out.
