    Guys ive got a new customer that ive been moving cars for
    that has just bought another truck and wants a quote from me to get it here.
    this is the first large truck ive bid. its 855 miles from dallas. what do you feel is fair to charge to:

    1. fly up and drive back
    2. Drive up wiyh my truck/trailer and drive his bsck towing my truck/trailer

    3. drive up and load it on my gooseneck and haul back (as long as it weighs 25,999 or les

          Those trucks are retarted. I would think flying up and driving back or towing your truck back with it would be the two best options.

            Since you can ( more or less ) earn about 1.25 a mile after expenses and you can drive about 550 miles ( more or less ) a day

            550 x 1.25 = $687.00 per day

            plus all expenses on way up and back, plane ticket, fuel, taxi's, etc.

            drive it back

                      that thing prob gets 15 mpg right? so it would cost you around $230 to drive it home. you can prob get a plane ticket for 200-250 one way

                      could fly there, pick it up and drive straight home in a day (15 hours drive time though) and only cost you about 500

                      where is it?

                      edit: I just saw your $850 quote... I wouldn't waste my time going up there and driving back if you would only make a couple hundred on the deal.. you can sub it out to that company and make $200 here while they ship his truck for you and have a full day or two left over

                        I would go this route, but see if you can get $1.40 per mile out of him.
