ever had an atm give you the wrong amount?

i was just wondering as i got $100 cash this morning, but the $20's were new and i thought i got rooked because i could not get the bills to separate. alas i was not, but i was just wondering how these things have never made a mistake when i use them.

never had an atm give me more than I asked, BUT I had a teller add an extra zero to an $800 deposit I made. took them 2 weeks to pull the money out.

I've been shorted $20 before but it showed back up in my account a few days later. Machines do malfunction every once in awhile, that's how the Terminator happened.

I had 900.00 deposited into my account at Chase, I let it sit there for a couple of months thinking they would eventually take it out but after the 2nd month went by I said fuck it and withdrew it and had a nice weekend!!!! Never heard a word from them afterwards and still have the account open

I went through the drive through one time and tried to withdraw $100. It opened but never spit any money out. I went into the branch that was closed and beat on the door since I saw them sitting in there. They came up and told me through the mail slot that I would have to wait till it was counted. I went back out there and for shits I walked up to the machine and did another transaction for $20. Sure as shit when the door opened I pulled out $120. I am sure that if the next person had gotten that $100 on top of their withdraw the ATM would not have come up over so I would have never seen my money.

My problem with ATM's is, why does it always have to be in $20 increments? Sometimes I just want a ten damnit, not $40, or $60, but a $50 or $30.

they used to do that, i guess its easier to fill it with just one denomination.

I think for the most part they are always $20 increments. Although I have found one in town that will let you do $10 increments, but it is a local bank ATM.

Citibank ATMs let you withdraw in $10 increments....just select other amount and type it in...

I have had atms give me an extra $20 once or twice. The last one I remember was an off name bank at a gas station so I just pocketed it.

So does bank of america atms. Theres a few that gives out $10.
