    oh you need idler pulleys. you can try spraying them clean with brake cleaner then lube them up with light coat of ATF or bike chain oil to see if that helps the squealing.

    worst case if they must be replaced, they might be generic pulleys that you can find based on size.

      Idk, haven't found the motivation yet to pull them off and look, but they don't look like they have any kind of ability to be taken apart and redone. beginning to think that I'm fucked.

            Dude those are basic paxton idler pulleys. again you can find them on eBay. I have one from my sn89 kit that's 20 years old. still works fine.

                Yes. pressed in. Not too hard to replace I'm guessing.

                You'll have to pull the pullies, press the bearings out (assuming you can't see the part # on them) and call a bearing house, like Kaman or Motion Industies.
                You can use a heat gun to expand the bearing housing to help facilitate removal.
