Wreck killed two of my niece's friends outside Bonham

Weird thing is, one of my wife's best friends in high school was killed in the same spot when they were in school in Bonham. What a shame.

If any of y'all know where Leonard Texas is, FM898 runs through some real steep hills and fairly sharp corners. Kids have been riding the roller-coaster out there for years.

I'd appreciate y'all keeping these families in your thoughts and prayers.

Wreck claims lives of two Fannin County teenagers

The Leonard Police Department is investigating a one (1) vehicle rollover fatality accident in which two (2) teens died. The accident occurred on FM 896 approx. 2 miles north of Leonard on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at approx. 6:59 p.m. The vehicle was traveling northbound when it topped a crest, became air born causing the driver to loose control. The vehicle rolled several times resulting in one passenger being ejected.

Alexandria Hilliard, 16 of Dodd City and Zachary Kelton, 19 of Ector were pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Alan Hale.

The driver, Brandon Richards, 19 of Ector and Passenger Briann Hilliard, 15 of Dodd City were both careflighted to Parkland Hospital for injuries.

The Leonard Police Department and Texas DPS are continuing the investigation at this time.

I'm from Sherman/Howe and have been on that road a few times... All of my cousins lived in Bonham growing up. Just curious... Micheal, Phillip, Heather Hope - your wife know them?

Yep - been in the car with idiots before when I was a kid. Damn scary. And yeah, I should've been killed numerous times when I was a kid.
