Released by The Greenville Police Department:

On July 20, 2011, at 10:21 p.m. the Greenville Police Department responded to the 5600 block of Sayle Street regarding a female who was being followed by her ex-husband. She indicated that she feared he would run her off of the road.

A Greenville Police Officer located two vehicles in the 5100 block of Sayle Street. Immediately upon the officer's arrival, he witnessed a shot fired from one vehicle. That vehicle fled north on Sayle Street.

The officer provided a description of the suspect's vehicle and then attempted to aid the gunshot victim. The description of the suspect's vehicle was relayed to surrounding law enforcement agencies. A Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopter responded to assist with the search for the suspect.

The victim, a 36-year old white female, was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The victim's two children, ages two and three, were in the backseat of her vehicle at the time of the shooting. The children did not appear to be injured.

They are in the custody of family members.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on July 21, 2011, the Hunt County Sheriff's Department received a call from a resident of a suspicious male in the area of Highway 69 North and County Road 1033, which is two to three miles outside of Greenville.

The DPS helicopter located an abandoned vehicle in the same area, and a Hunt County Deputy confirmed that it matched the description of the suspect's vehicle.

The Greenville Police Department, Hunt County Sheriff's Department, DPS, McKinney Police Department, Garland Police Department, Caddo Mills Police Department and Celeste Police Department assisted in conducting a search for the suspect.

At 7:01 a.m., the Hunt County Sheriff's Department received a call notifying them that a man with a gun was at a location on Highway 69 North. Officers responded and Greenville Police Department Tactical Team members took the suspect, a 32-year old white male, into custody.

Wow, that is some crazy ass shit. My ex husband tried to run me off the road with our 18mo old in the car. I didn't have a cell phone back then so I pulled into the very first business I came to off the highway and screamed to a guy in the shop to call 911. He came out and told me no. Then the ex caught up to us and beat the shit out of the guy then left. I went to another business farther down to call 911 to come help the guy who wouldn't call 911 for me.

F'd up! If you're that unhappy, do us all a favor and take yourself out of the gene pool. Don't take a mother from her kids!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

When I was working family violence I had a cluster fcku of a case where a hispanic guy was roughing up his GF on the side of I35. Two older dudes driving by stopped to "help" and the hispanic dude pulled a baseball bat out of the car and assaulted the two good Samaratins. I ended up charging the guy with one count of assault, and two counts of aggravated assault.

I'm a completely different woman than the shell of a woman he had married back in 98. I won't hesitate to grab an equalizer and defend myself unlike back then when I would just curl up and take a good smack or two like a champ.

They came and took his ass to Jail and charged him with vehicular assault or something along those lines. He was in jail for a few weeks before his family got up the money to get him out too. Dumb bastard will learn one of these days!

                      AGREED

More often than not though, this kind of person will terrorize someone else for not putting up with their bullshit anymore to extreme lengths....even assault/murder
