The payor already pays fees. Now the payee will too. It is less than the payor still by far.

Yes I understand why it works the way it does, but that doesn't make it right.Originally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". LOL!

NEW: Annual Service and Monthly SDU Fees Notice
Beginning September 1, 2011, processing fees for certain cases take effect. If a fee is assessed it will be deducted from your child support payment.
Monthly SDU Fee
Beginning September 1, 2011, custodial parents will pay a $3 monthly fee in cases that receive registry-only payment processing and record keeping services through the State Disbursement Unit (SDU) for each month in which a child support payment of more than $3 is received. The fee will be deducted from your child support payment.
Annual Service Fee
Beginning October 1, 2011, custodial parents who receive full service monitoring and enforcement services and have never been on public assistance will pay a $25 service fee for each year that they receive more than $500 in child support collections. The fee will be deducted from your child support payment.
Who will be charged a fee?
Custodial parents who receive full-service monitoring and enforcement services and have never been on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families will pay a $25 service fee for each year that they receive at least $500 in child support collections. The fee will be deducted from the child support payment. The custodial parent will pay a $3 monthly fee in cases that receive registry-only payment processing and record keeping services through the federally mandated State Disbursement Unit (SDU) for each month in which a child support payment of at least $3 is received. The fee will be deducted from the child support payment.
A case will not accrue both an annual service fee and a monthly SDU fee simultaneously.
All this because they are going to take $25 a year? Really? If I am reading this right this is only for people receiving "full-service monitoring and enforcement services". I don't know what all that entails (wage garnishment?) but it sounds like it is talking about more involved situations, not run of the mill deals. I'm sure it is worth $25 a year to have someone make sure you get paid, isn't it?"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

My brother has full time custody of his son and he douchebag ex wife pays a measly $98 a month in child support. The State set up the checking account and mailed my brother the card and account info. Everytime he uses the card there is a $2.50 charge. Plus they put a monthly service fee on there too.
It is a scam. Dead beat dads forced Texas to control the payments back and forth and now that the money is moving it is time to start skimming from both sides.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I imagine there is a easy couple hundred thousand people who get Child Support.
$3 a month comes out to $600,000 a month alone & the annual $25 a year. is a couple million alone for Annual money coming in. Also I am sure there is more then 200,000 people in Texas who get child support.
This is all thanks to Rick Perry! He wants to run for president. I can only imagine what he dreams up to tax Americans if he gets that seat.GOD BLESS TEXAS
