TSA failure gets man in jail
Oh, the irony! If they did their job, this guy wouldn't be in a foreign jail!
LIBERTY (AP) — A Missouri man is home after spending four days in a jail in the Bahamas because airport security found a bullet in his fanny pack.
Forty-eight-year-old Darrell Lapp returned Tuesday to Liberty after a scuba diving trip with a Boy Scout troop.
His ordeal began last Friday when airport security in Freeport, Bahamas found a .32-caliber bullet inside his fanny pack. He was charged with possessing ammunition and sent to a jail in Nassau. Lapp says he thinks he left the bullet in his pack after a hunting trip.
His wife found a lawyer, who was able to get the criminal charge dismissed. Lapp was released from jail Monday night.
It’s unclear how the bullet was not detected by security at Kansas City International Airport and in Nassau."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

I have flown probably 50,+++ miles in the last year with the same hockey bag and the same uniforms and coming from LAX this past Saturday this chicken head runs up to me as security is checking me in and tells me i'm not boarding the plane with my bag. I told her its a 1/4 full. She said if it didn't fit perfectly in the bin I couldn't board with it. It fit, but the air trapped inside made it puff out. She called her super and she said either pay 25 bucks or you and ur bag don't board. As she tells me this 25 people with bigger bags pass me to to go to the plane. She says don't worry bout them.. So I paid, and while waiting on the plane, they announce that anyone with a bigger bag, we will check it for free. Protesting and wanting my money back, they say, what happens at security happens there. we can't help you. Upon getting my bag in Dallas, it had been gone thru, my deordorant had been cranked all the way out, loose change in pockets and small cash gone and memory card gone from camera. I hope the people that did me wrong fall down the escalators or ramps and don't get any compensation... AA was the airline..
