The last several times I've flown I've had them cut the lock and tabs off my luggage to rummage through it. Keep in mind, I always use TSA locks but the tabs are still cut off and I can't use the bags anymore. That said, I NEVER put anything in my checked luggage I don't want stolenI wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

When all this "increased security" took effect years ago, I was behind a Delta PILOT going through the lines.
TSA- I need to search your bag ma'am.
PILOT- sure, what are you guys looking for?
TSA- anything that might be used to get onto the flight deck.
PILOT- I use this key (holds key up), I'm flying the airplane.
TSA- (keeps digging in her bag, not another word spoken.)
They were really worthless back then, hard to say if they're better or worse now.

Just more food for the fodder. This part of the story of the Houston guy that got a loaded Glock through TSA:
...
According to one report, undercover TSA agents testing security at a Newark airport terminal on one day in 2006 found that TSA screeners failed to detect concealed bombs and guns 20 out of 22 times. A 2007 government audit leaked to USA Today revealed that undercover agents were successful slipping simulated explosives and bomb parts through Los Angeles's LAX airport in 50 out of 70 attempts, and at Chicago's O'Hare airport agents made 75 attempts and succeeded in getting through undetected 45 times.
...Last fall, as he had done hundreds of times, Iranian-American businessman Farid Seif passed through security at a Houston airport and boarded an international flight. He didn't realize he had forgotten to remove the loaded snub nose "baby" Glock pistol from his computer bag. But TSA officers never noticed as his bag glided along the belt and was x-rayed. When he got to his hotel after the three-hour flight, he was shocked to discover the gun traveled unnoticed from Houston.
'Course, they keep today's numbers under lock-n-key for "national security" reasons (somewhat understandable), regardless, they've proven themselves to be inept."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

Why search pilots, I always thought that was stupid. Like they're gonna bring a weapon on the plane, they'll just use the plane as a weapon.

Never realized there are so many jails in Dallas, how much of a cluster it is just trying to figure out where to go - to pay...etc and I wish I had MY gun cause of the seedy characters. However, since I was flying that day I did not have it.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
