Mine was a watch that my dad bought for me when I graduated medical school. It retailed for over $15k. I was a dumbass and put it in my luggage when I was traveling to Florida. They saw it when they scanned it and decided that they wanted it.

Insurance gave me more than my dad paid and I bought a cheaper watch and used the balance to buy him a Rhino.

TSA has started tossing the contents of my bag recently - i open it up and shampoo and other shit is falling out of the ziplocs i packed it in - maybe they are looking for shit to steal? I never put anything valuable in there because i know those fuckers will steal it.

I would like to see someone go through those back scatter xray machines with some sort of Geiger counter to see exactly how much radiation you're getting. I also want to see someone do it on a regular basis to see if the dosage is consistent at all airports and with all machines.

My worry is that one of these can have the radiation source turned up or it could malfunction. The operators aren't exactly rocket scientists that insure everything is working perfectly.
