When do you guys prefer to go camping?

I'm with you, I refuse to sleep in a tent during the summer. If I'm camping when it's not there had better be an RV with air conditioning for me to sleep in.

After "camping" in Camp LeJuene and Desert Storm while in the Marines, I'm not a fan of camping. Give me the amenities and call me a pussy. I spent one week in the field once when it rained every day and I ended up catching pneumonia.

March, April, begining of May (according to location), Sept, Oct, begining of Nov.
Couple years ago we went in Jan when it was in the teens. Fuck that! If we didnt have such a hot fire we would have packed up and left that first night. We only go to the Quachita's or the Ozarks.

But you won't catch me camping in this dry, chigger-filled sauna. You'll find me in my tent at 10k+ feet where the temps still get around freezing at night. If I do camp here, it's gotta be between late fall and early spring.
