  • Where does every gearhead need to go before they die?

It's a good question brought up on Jalopnik : http://jalopnik.com/5821214/where-do...efore-they-die

So where do you think every car guy should go before they die?

Places I can think of off the top of my head -

    - Autobahn
    - Nürburgring
    - PCH
    - LeMans
    - Salt Flats
    - Hot August Nights
    - SEMA

Drive the length of California State Route 1.

I did this last summer in the z06 and it was the most beautiful drive I have ever had. Driving the vette through a tree in the redwood forest topped it off.

Bonneville and the PCH. Also Route 50 across Nevada. Will be marking all 3 of them off the list in September.

I've been to the Petersen four times. Maybe it was because I saw the same cars each time, but I wasn't terribly impressed.

Except during the 75th anniversary of the Deuce... words can't describe that experience. But it was in the parking garage, not the museum.

I've been to the Petersen, a good portion of PCH, the Winternats and Finals in Pomona, Mullholland, Lombard Street in San Fran, they were all amazing in their own right. There are plenty listed above to fill the bucket list though. Another one that I liked was spending the night in "the zoo", also known as the campgrounds at Brainerd International Raceway (MN) for the nationals up there.
