Austin Ranch in Grapevine? It can't be that expensive. On a side note I went to a wedding at The Village in Colleyville a couple of months ago and it was NICE! I know the bill had to be well over $50k but it was the nicest one I've been to. Heck the honeymoon was probably another $10k, and they live together in an $80k house.

The best in Ft Worth is www.thestonegatemansion.com or you could look at the Bell Tower Chapel.

IIRC, it was about $300 for up to 200 people?, they have a small dance floor, a place for a DJ or you can bring your own tunes and hook it up to the sound system, you can bring in all your own food and they provide all the beer you can drink. Sounds perfect to me!

I went to a wedding at a train station or depot in/near Downtown Fort Worth last year that was pretty awesome.

Been there done that, drank a lot of beer and had a lot of fun. Be prepared to sweat your ass off in the summer. It's $600 for the whole rental, $300 down to rent the place, and the next $300 comes from admission of your guests. so if more than 30 more people come at $10 per person you start getting your money back.

The Stonegate Mansion looks cool.... but expensive!

Sarah- my cousin got married at http://www.mediterraneanvilla.net/ in Alrington, the place was very pretty..I'm not sure how much they spent though..

EDIT: It may be considered a "traditional" place...

The cheapest works out to $15 a head but that includes a free glass and all the beer you can drink. Fritz plays a decent guitar and he has several good musicians working for him, you could probably negotiate free entertainment during it. Or he can get the same bands that play the Saucer. They also have lots of local places that'll cater, pay upfront or make it a cash deal.

The drawbacks are that it is just a warehouse with a brewery inside. There isn't much climate control, it'll smell like beer and they can only serve beer. If those things don't bother you then it's a great venue. It's packed every Wednesday and Saturday regardless of the weather and nearly everyone has a good time.

I like that idea but I would want liquor, gonna make these jello shots from the Jelly Shot Test Kitchen. But this is definitely the kind of place I was looking for.
