well.. Chevrolet has the Avalanche... and Dodge had the SRT10 and Daytona. I'm not sure what they're currently offering for that market

IMO, the Avalanche is a horrible comparison. The SRT10 I'd rather go compare to the Saleen Truck..... Which I'd gladly take over the Dodge. Wtf is a Daytona? A suped up Dodge Dakota? Lol!

That's what I was thinking..... I wonder who will be the next in that market. I hope the issue gets resolved as well I love the looks of the truck and over all design minus the graphics on the truck.

How about that Saleen S331? Has anyone swaped the motor out of a Raptor into a Lightning?

Wouldn't that be false advertisement? If I remember correctly wasn't Ford advertising the vehicle being used in baja events and actually jumping not just riding trails at high speeds?

He was talking about ugly overpriced trucks.

And the dodge ram daytona is a hideous truck with a wing over the bed.

That really stinks ... I like the Raptor as well. Reminds me of the days when Chrysler went on a rampage denying warranties for any Jeep that had any dirt on it claiming it was taken "off-road".

This... It sounds like these guys thought they had trophy trucks.

I'm in the minority, but I really dig the trucks. If I was going to dump the cash on a new truck the Raptor would get multiple looks.
                    Thanks for finding that out.

I wasnt crazy about them when I saw the pics but after seeing and driving my buddies, I can say I love the hell out of these trucks! That being said, I would never pay the asking price for them. Prices on any new vehicles is crazy these days much less a "SVT" or some other special edition vehicle. He bought his used with 6k on the clock though so he let someone else take the initial hit on the value.

I agree with you. After buying my f-350 and my woman's tahoe I learned what depreciation is all about. I'll let someone else take the ass fucking from now on.

Remember when the Terminators first came out and they were advertised in pictures burning the tires off? Then when you take your bone stock '03 out to the track and snap a half shaft you were SOL and not covered. Funny how that works, huh? Why sell me a car with 390HP and I can't even use all 390 of it.

Aren't these trucks designed to do this type of shit though (high speed trail running, etc..), if the frame bends during this isn't that a design flaw? I mean shit even the videos ford put out they are getting like 4 feet of air, and "abusing" the vehicle.

                            From the OP's first post:

It seems the frame itself is creasing at this point, and causing the whole rear of the truck from this point back, to sag. I was able to run about 90% of the Raptor Run without this occuring on my truck. There was ONE last bump that I hit at about 55MPH (probably about 12" high or less) and soon after I stopped and met up with the other guys, and noticed that indeed I too was affected!
I think we may have found the issue..

I doubt it... they always have a disclaimer on the commercials: "on a closed course with professional driver" or some crap like that inferring that you shouldnt do it

I read through the thread, so basically if you bottom out the rear suspension with enough force you have a chance to bend your frame. sounds totallllly lame.
