Something tells me you're going to end up forking out a deductible and have to get it covered under your insurance. But don't fret. You guys will have a party at some point, and I'm sure we can more than make up for that $500 in just a few minutes.

That doesn't make a fucking difference, he still fled the scene. Let the police handle it, he could very easily wind up with a charge over his ignorance.
