Thanks for all of the responses I'm interested in checking 1-2 of those places out but as of right now I just got an email back from the Bakers Hotel in Mineral Wells and they told me I'd have to call the city and get permission.

We've eaten at the "Catfish Plantation" a dozen times or so, and always watch for strange things. They have a huge book there that is full of notes and pics from people that have eaten there. Some are very recent, and go into great detail about their experiences. Vacuum cleaners running unplugged, silverware being swapped around in front of people, restroom encounters (apparently pretty often), and a lot of pics of the younger lady by the fireplace and looking in from an outside window as diners eat.

Not typically a believer but....
Stayed at the Excelsior House in Jefferson and saw/heard some weird shit: http://www.theexcelsiorhouse.com/
Used to live in 303 in the Farm and Ranch Building in downtown and had some freaky stuff go on.
Never saw anything, but back in High School (early 90s) there was this huge house over off Inwood. So big it had an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Story was that there were devil worshipers that lived there and held human sacrifices. Some kids from Bishop Lynch did a story on it so it was popular place to go rummage through, and we made many late night trips with girls to freak them out. There was a large marble pentegram in the floor, and just a dark feel about the house. The lot is just vacant now as vandals pretty much destroyed the house so they demolished it. Anyone have any more info on it?

I've also stayed at the Menger in San Antonio just days after the History Chanel did an episode there on The Most Haunted Places in America.. No shenanigans but they have a bad ass bar down stairs that is the place where Teddy Roosevelt recruited most of his Rough Riders and is still almost exactly like it was back then. Great restaurant too. Best Crème Brûlée ever.

The Anson Lights in Anson, TX
I went and saw this with a group of people. It's not caused by anything Ghostly, but it can be creepy just due to the environment. If you go there really late at night the atmospheric creepiness really sets the mood; It is dark, it's at a cemetery, and you will often hear Coyotes howling. Going out there with someone who has never heard of it or have read the debunked actual cause of the lights, is quite hilarious. Because it does scare the shit out of people who are gullible. And, most are.
Start them out with story behind the legend and head out to the location.
There was a young boy who got lost in a snowstorm. His mother, in her grief, went out searching the night for him with a lantern. They both never return. The Anson light is the illumination from the mother's lamp still searching the night for her lost son.

Ever since it was opened in the 1970's, it was always consider the "bad" school. Over the years it was given the name of "Suicide High". It was given this name because sometime in the late 70's a boy shot himself in the bathroom. Later on in the 80's a girl broke the mirror and slit her throat, a two girls found her. To this day there's still no mirrors in the girls bathrooms. Later, only one girls and boy killed themselves in the school. Many students that attended Lakeview in the mid 90's committed suicide. In the bathrooms, sometimes you can hear footsteps when nobody else is in there. There's no windows in the school, that's what some students feel that make rooms so cold. There are cold spots in some places, and you can hear voices too."You don't so much drive it, more like poke it with a sharp stick and channel the fury when you piss it off."
