I didn't take any pics at night yet but I just got home from work and checked them in the dark and they emit PLENTY of light when on and more than enough when braking. I am not trying to get into the civil rights movement or anything, just want the ticket dismissed.

I don't know you from Adam, but I have to admit that I'm impressed by your ability to create BS out of good law. I've been against your kind in court a handful of times over the last 11+ years and won every single time. FYI, I went to college, graduated in the top 10 people in my law school class and have been in private practice since 1999. Unlike you, I know the law and/or am able to research a topic and make sense of it. You and your kind crack me up. You think your smarter or more enlightened than everyone else. You look for every reason to find what you think are holes in the system/law, until you need those very same laws that you ridicule to work for you. Let me clue you into something. congratulations on your achievements,but if you have been in private practice from 99, how have been against my "type" if your not a prosecutor? i believe in finding (or paying someone else to find) loopholes in order to hold on to my money. winning battles is all i need considering i never had to wage war.

As far as the first one goes, a Chief cannot call the court and have them drop a citation. Now if it happened the way you say it did then I agree it was a shitty stop. Now the Chief could have reviewed the tape, called in said officer, then asked him if that was the best action for the cause. The officer could have then agreed and made it a warning. The Chief cannot make him drop the charge though.

it was shitty stop, but not the officers fault from where he was position. after they reviewed the tape, he called me and said they made a request to the judge (who can dismiss) for it to be dismissed. he even informed me they i may have to show to court. however i didn't because i received a letter that the charges were dropped

Your kind are also parties in civil cases. Finding loopholes is great, but molesting the language of cases that have nothing to do with what you claim is nothing more than a sham IMHO.

Have fun shaking your fist at the system and enjoy what few victories you may have in traffic court. Let me know when it works for you in a higher court.

The reality is whatever tickets he's had dismissed were probably dismissed out of sheer annoyance, not legal precedence. The Judge just figured dealing with this nutbag wasn't worth the $200 fine. Hell, the Judge probably covered the fine out of his own pocket! It's actually pretty genious if you think about it....kinda like getting out of doing something for the wife by fucking it all up. She'll never ask you again! LOL!

I think you will be disappointed with the municipal judge's decision in coppell. She has been there for years, has no sense of humor and almost always sides with the cop. The city should be named COP-HELL.

State law Sec. 547.3215 incorporates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, Subpart B, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, Section 571.108, Standard No. 108; Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment. This standard contains the following:
S5.1.3 No additional lamp, reflective device or other motor vehicle equipment shall be installed that impairs the effectiveness of lighting equipment required by this standard.

As a general comment, any device that impairs the required effectiveness of headlamps, taillamps, reflectors or etc is prohibited. The lights, both front and rear, are made by the manufacturer to meet this safety standard. Putting something, particularly something.
