How does your past sentence compare to the Casey Anthony trial?

On July 7, 2011 she was sentenced to one year in jail and $1,000 in fines for each count.

My biggest offense ever was for my DWI. (Pulled over for a headlight being out and I blew willingly, a .095.......thought I would pass)After I was in jail for about 15 hours and after 6 court appearances I got time served, a $1,000 fine, 3 years of $1,000 a year surcharges for my drivers license, and the fuck in the ass if I ever want to get a job for however long a company's background check goes.

WTF? is all I can say.

Oh yeah, forgot about the $300 tow fee for my car, and the $2,000 for my lawyer fee. So about $7,000?

The worst "sentence" I've ever recieved was deferred adjudication and a $300ish fine for a speeding ticket in which there was solid evidence that I was speeding. Had there been no evidence of the crime, I never lied to anyone, so I would have walked scott free.

$300 speeding ticket? The first ticket(s) I ever got was for going 80 in a 60. The cop also decided to add that I didn't use my turn signal when I pulled onto the inside shoulder while he was pulling me over...I was in the inside lane. $320 and that was in 2002.

Red flags don't equal a murder conviction though. The jury knows damn well that she killed her daughter, but there was enough lack of evidence to cause possible doubt.

There was plenty of evidence of her involvement though, I don't see how she didn't get criminal negligence or something more than "lying to the cops."

It's been a decade since my last speeding ticket, it very well could have been less.

And now that I think about it, I got popped for getting out of the HOV lane heading south on 35 some years ago, and I remember thinking "damn, this is more than any ticket that I've ever paid."

I am not one to complain though, I got awoken in my running truck at the ATM many years ago, and once out of the passenger side, I voluntarily blew a .09something. They coulda been bullshitting me to get me to go straight home, but they let me go and told me to go STRAIGHT home.

I didn't have a headlight out though, so maybe that was my saving grace.

Uh...there should not be a punishment for people who are not found guilty. If lying to investigators was her crime then she should have whatever punishment that entails.

I thought she sentenced to 4 years, had spent 3 and was getting it reduced for good behavior. That's why she`ll be released in a week or so.

Oh and my worst fine was a $350 speeding ticket. Construction zone and the workers only showed up as I wasgetting ticketed, thus doubling the fine.
