If someone chooses to speed, looses control, and slides off a cliff, should the family sue the city for not providing a 4 foot curb there? Nope.

That's terrible. Let the ball come to you, don't risk chasing it.

Would it be better if it turns out he was a Yankees or A's fan?

Pretty shitty thing to say, even by my standards.

Strange concidence that this guy and the guy who fell a year and one day ago at Rangers Ballpark were both firemen.

Also strange that he had to stop on the way to buy his kid a glove. I guess the kid is 6, maybe he hasn't started little league yet but I remember playing before I even started school. I hope it was an accident but if he wanted some attention he sure got it.

That sucks RIP to him and thoughts go out to the kid, that's horrible.

I am always paranoid about those types of things when I see it on TV or when I'm at a game, I'm suprised it doesn't happen more often.

Fucked me up even more when I heard on the radio the only thing he said after falling was for them go up and make sure his kid was OK.

Another Lawyer is going to fuck something up.

Tragic though... Really sorry to hear it. My heart goes out to his son. I am pretty sure the Dad was wanting something to give his son and the ball would have been great.

To the day I die I'll never forget sitting with my dad third base side and getting a foul ball at a Rangers game. I was 5 or 6 years old at the time and I still have the ball and my ticket stub. It's one of my most cherished memories.

Heartbreaking to me that his father died instead.
