My friend works at Med Star right there. They are on lock down. She said the officer was killed and suspect believed to still be in the area.

Sorry guys! Apparently my friend misspoke. Just received another message that he was taken into surgery and not killed. Good news!

Cliff used to work for me back on Northside mids in 2002-2003. He was shot in the lower stomach. I have heard he is in recovery.

Wow I was on my way to buy a camera from Craigslist about that time and saw multiple helicopters flying around the south end of downtown and lots of police cars and wondered what was going on. Hope he makes a full recovery and hope that piece of shit gunman gets accidentally beaten multiple times without the camera running.
