hell i got pulled over for doing 99 in a 70 once. Cop walked up and ask me if i knew i was doing 99mph? I said i dont doubt it since i was doing 120 mph about 2 miles back before i saw you.

My professional opinon is that you should just pay the ticket and go on with your life. at 27 mph over the speed limit no judge/jury will side with you. Since nobody was actually dying there was no legit reason for you to be going that fast. No attorney will want to mess with this as it is not worth the effort.

Thank you! over 15 posts later, I get a few names. If I want to spend the money and try to keep it off my record, that is my legal right.

Look, I told the judge I would pay however many dollars and have 180 days probation or whatever, I just NEED IT TO STAY OFF MY RECORD and his response was, "Sorry, not going to do it for 27 over."

The judge had discretion and he decided not to use it when I had an extenuating circumstance. That is my definition of an uncompassionate person and I have no choice but to fight it. Again, I don't know I was doing 27 over, so I will let them prove it and I need a good attorney to force them to do so.

The only compassion you would get going 97 in a 70 is if you are in a medical emergency inside of your car itself. You know how many stories you hear a day from people? 99.9% of them are not true. So who do you believe. If someone showed me a text or something of that nature I may consider letting them go. But 27mph over the limit? Come on.

How long was the corvette going 97 and how long was the vic going 120? Who said the crown vic was weaving through traffic? Officers are trained in high speed situations and the crown vic was built for it and has the tires for it. So I would say the crown vic going 120 for 1 miles vs. the vette going 97 for many miles. People generally get out of the way of the police vehicles, not the case for the vette. Also why would a judge show compassion? They hear more excuses then officers do!

Yes because the officer should have just gone the speed limit of 70 to try and get him. I am sure that would have worked. At 97mph you are putting peoples lives in danger.

if you dont need something to go on your record then dont put yourself in a position to where that might happen. and the judge is an asshole because he did use discretion and decided to not let you off because of your gross negligence on the road?

Well unless he was driving on the fucking shoulder, wouldn't he have to weave around cars going 50mph over the posted limit? crown vic is built for that my fucking ass......you can put F1 tires on a fucking yugo, and its still a yugo.
