July 4th DWI's

Extra strict as in NO refusal weekend. They do this two times a ear for a reason. July 4th and new years. The two biggest down time, beer flowing times of the year. There has been more fatality dwi crashes, dwi arrests, and intoxicated related offenses shown on those days. Therefore enforcement during those times are stricter. The officers in my area are far from lax on dwi enforcement. You are making assumptions which is to be expected on here. Go ride out with someone and get a feel of it yourself.

Maybe state-wide. It was a no refusal weekend down here in Austin because there was a bike rally. I think they did a no refusal weekend for St. Patty's Day weekend as well. It seems that these "We're going to refuse your right to not incriminate yourself" more and more. Nothing against cops. They're just following orders. However, DWI's seem to be the way the state tries to make up for it's inability to manage a budget.

Hope everybody was safe this weekend...drunk, or sober. I just wonder how many people on here, or if they know anybody that drowned.

On my way home, police car pulled me over

After they left, I puttered out of gas.
'Triple-A' came, but my card was expired!
I had to walk home, and of course, it rained half the time.
I tried to get some shut-eye, then I was abducted!

They put cold things in my butt.

They left me on top of my sheets,
I dreamt I went potty, then woke up drenched in me.

This day sucked the hardest ever...
