    China opens worlds longest bridge over water.

          You might be surprised. China also has one of the best/most technologically advance high speed rail systems in the world. I witnessed it being built two years ago and got to ride it two weeks ago...I was impressed.

            It cost them somewhere between $2.5-$9 billon dollars to build. America has thousands of dilapidated bridges, and a couple billion dollars would probably fix 4 miles of them. Then they'd add a toll.

                      actually, reports i have read about the rail system paint it in a harshly critical light. The japanese system is highly advanced, PLUS they spend the money to inspect every inch of track constantly. The chinese system doesnt have any of those safety checks in place.
